Welcome to MDSG

You must be special.

You must have been invited by someone that trusts you and knows that you'll benefit from belonging to the Marketing Director’s Support Group (commonly known as MDSG).

A few ground rules:

• This group was created solely for peer support and education. There is a little networking, but not much.
  
• We have a strict non-solicitation policy.
  
• If you own or work for a company that sells products/services to the marketing/business development community do not approach members about utilizing your services. If they approach you, that is fine. Breaking this policy is the fastest way to get removed from the group.
  
• If you are a marketing executive and you have been approached/solicited by a vendor without your first asking them, please alert me immediately.
  
• All events require an RSVP.
  
• We don't charge for our events unless it is plainly noted (we have charged for only one event in the last 8+ years and all that money went to charity). We are able to keep this free due to the generosity of our sponsor, SocialToaster (http://www.socialtoaster.com/ ). Check them out. If they weren't as revolutionary as they are, they would not be a sponsor. Wicked cool stuff indeed.
  
• We have a newsletter which is sent out anywhere from one to three times a month. It generally has job openings, meeting descriptions and items that members have asked to be included. It is a fun read. If you selected not to be included on the listserve, you may want to reconsider (bit.ly/EarlyJulyMDSG). We use WhatCounts to send out our emails. Sometimes, folks don't get them. If that is the case, see this alert: http://bit.ly/whitelistMDSG.

All of us appreciate it if you upload a profile picture as well. If you don't, someone will try to find one on your website/LinkedIn/other, or, if we're feeling mischievous, you may find we've assigned a random profile picture to you...

Our Twitter hashtag is #MDSG - we encourage tweeting and will run twitterfeeds during some of our virtual meetings.
